This IB world school based in Barcelona, catering for students from 3 to 18 years of age, is currently seeking an IB/MYP Physics teacher to join their team. Location: Live and work in the beating heart of Catalonia, Spain in the magnificent city of Barcelona. Barcelona is one of the world's most wonderful cities, littered with whimsical buildings by Antoni Gaudí including the still unfinished and breath-taking Sagrada Família cathedral at the heart of the Gothic Quarter. You will find everything you could possibly want here, with glorious sandy beaches, history, happening night life, and of course, scrumptious food.
Requirements: Ideally 2+ years' experience', within an IB school would be advantageous, however not essential as training can be provided. Certainly a student centred approach is essential. Bachelors in Science or similar alongside a PGCE or relevant country equivalent is required. Eligibility to work in the EU is essential, due to country visa restrictions. Basic Spanish speaking skills advantageous.
Package: The school offers a very good salary and package in Spanish terms. You will be earning from €29,000 per annum. Tax in Spain is between 8 - 17% however, in your first 10 months you will be paying around 8%. Accommodation allowance of €400 per month, with one annual flight provided.
