Site Document Controller - FIFO Contract - Queensland
Our client an integrated upstream energy company have an attractive site-based document control opportunity in Queensland. This role will be FIFO due to the demands of the role.
As the successful applicant you will be required to populate and working with the company document management system, assisting in the development of relevant process documentation.
The position will include control of released documentation and data to support all business functions and administering documentation and data transactions, including utilisation and maintenance of supporting tools used.
Work as part of the document control team to act as a focal point for all controlled documents and identify gaps in documentation against company standards.
Allocate document numbers in accordance with processes.
Input accurate data into the system.
Register and distribute documentation in accordance with the project processes.
Support the development and implementation of the document management system.
Develop, maintain and communicate document control processes to the group and ensure that the system interfaces effectively with other group systems.
Set up and maintain hard copy filing systems as required.
Compile document packages as required.
Provide archiving support in accordance with processes.
Assist with audits of internal and contractor document control procedures processes.
Actively promote leading practice in document control among the group and develop and maintain the asset management of change procedures.
Report document control progress.
Issue regular updated reports to relevant staff as per the document control plan.
Respond to queries relating to document control.
Process documentation relating to contracts.
Issue reports as required and where necessary follow up with relevant parties.
Back up for correspondence control when required.
Input work requests and return transmittal where necessary.
The incumbent must abide by company policy in relation to HR policies and procedures such as annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes.

Experience in managing data in corporate/project data stores and experience in operating a robust document & data control system.
Demonstrated experience in utilisation of document & data control processes and procedures and expertise in working with/administering a document management system.
Experience in commitment to safety and high-level interpersonal skills.
Tertiary qualifications, trade qualifications, or relevant experience pertaining to Document Management and Data Control systems.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of project system interfaces and information flows.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Initiative and capacity to exercise good judgment.
Ability to collaborate across business units to provide a document and data control system model that ensures a high degree of commonality and interface across the asset.
Good time management skills.
Strong commitment to a robust DMS & to asset integrity.
Solution focused, results orientated and motivated achiever.
Easily move between detail focus and the 'big picture' as required.
In order to attract the right professional this contract offers a FIFO roster of 15/6 for a 12-month period. Similar experience in the Queensland area is highly regarded. Additional to this proven delivery across a broad range of work in Australia also desirable.
