Pöyry win contract for the expansion of Salgado Filho Airport, Brazil

Pöyry awarded engineering services assignment for the expansion of Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

The HTBM consortium, comprising of contractors HTB, Tedesco and Barbosa Mello, has awarded Pöyry with the detail engineering and field engineering services assignment for the expansion project of the Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre (RS), Brazil, under the concession of German Fraport Brasil – Porto Alegre.

The scope of the contract includes the detail engineering and field engineering services for the expansion of the passenger terminal, the construction of a garage building, and an electric power distribution substation as well as for the expansion of the airstrip and taxiway.
Pöyry will also be responsible for the development of multiple elements required for the execution of the project including architecture, civil engineering, utilities, HVAC, fire safety, landscaping, furniture, and visual identity, among others.

The value of the order is not disclosed. The order will be recognised within the Industry Business Group order stock in H1/2018.
